Professional info

My interests lie in the gender aspects of water and sanitation and I believe that improving gender equality is critical in making progress in water supply and sanitation.

After graduating with a BSc (Hons) Ecological Sciences from the University of Edinburgh, I completed my MSc in Water Management with a specialisation in Community Water Supply (with a focus on gender) from Cranfield University.

Following on from my MSc I have seven years’ experience working with large non-governmental organisations such as Médecins Sans Frontières, small organisations such as Wells for India, the private sector and other institutions such as IRC International Water and Sanitation Centre in the Netherlands. I am an active member of the Gender and Development Network.
